door's unlocked and the window's open wide
the breeze is turning like the tide
so if you're ever passing by
birds outside are singing songs of love
the sun shines down from up above

dust is settling everywhere I look
the lampshades, windowsills and books
this place is looking like decay
oh and how the night is coming on
sweet sleep one moment then it's gone

every now and then inside my head
I've heard the voices and they've said

though I can't say what it's about

now I never see your face
